The Momentum Lab.

A first-person portal chamber I built and never finished. You can still play it as I left it.

The Momentum Lab’s start menu, “A little space. A lot of momentum.”, beside a white portal gun in a pale grey tiled test chamber.

Left as it was

Step into the game.

It plays right here, on this site.

Play the prototype

The idea.

A small test chamber with a portal gun, six surfaces to shoot, a companion cube and a red button. Place a portal below and one above, jump in, and let momentum do the work. I built it for my portfolio and left it unfinished.

Where it stands

Abandoned. It never left my portfolio’s working copy: never committed, never linked. It rests in the graveyard now, and this site plays it exactly as I left it, its own Portal-inspired blue and orange look included.

How to play

Press Enter chamber, then move the mouse to look. WASD moves, Space jumps, Shift runs. Left click fires a blue portal and right click an orange one; Q and F work too. E grabs and drops the cube, T shows your body, Esc pauses. For the optional protocol, put the cube on the red button, go through a portal, then walk to the green exit.

What you need

A mouse, a keyboard and a browser with WebGL. It has no touch controls, so it won’t play on a phone.
